Witness came to my door on Saturday

i live in a new house and it was a matter of time before the witnesses came through our neighborhood.

saturday around 1:30 p.m. my door rang.

i opened the door and my two dogs peeked around my legs at the new arrivals.

Heartfelt empathy on your part. Everyone should be treated that way - until they downright refuse to accept what is staring them in the face - just like the Pharisees did!

He Wants To Help Me

so i just happened to bump into an elder today.

a guy my age that i used to know.

i was having a quick breakfast.

You gotta "fight fire with fire"!

If you were on the ministry and someone asked you a question, you'd automatically refer to the Bible.

So tell him about something which concerns you, e.g. only "heavenly hopers" are God's sons just now, and we've got to wait for over 1000 years from now to be so. Then show him the Bible's viewpoint; Matthew 6:9, Matthew 12:50, Matthew 13:38, Matthew 25:40, Mark 3:35, Luke 8:21, John 1:12,13, John 15:14, Romans 8:14, 1 John 5:1. These verse clearly show that Jesus was NOT talking about an elite few!

Or simply ask him if he believes the Org's false doctrine that a person's OWN death wipes out their sins! (based on Romans 6:7) Then ask him to read verses 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, & 11 to see that Paul was referring to a figurative dying to a sinful course. Otherwise, Christ's death was totally unnecessary!!!!!

Confused?

i have been going to meetings since i was a child, long story short only recently i've started taking the truth seriously, i am not baptized but just an unbaptized publisher.

truth is i am so lonely in the congregation.

the other young people in the cong don't like me because they dont think i am going to "stay" for long, i've even worked on the ministry with an older brother and asked her am i giving the wrong impression to people?

I'm still "in" and am viewed by most in the cong as someone in good standing with privileges. Despite this, I know for a certainty that I am being scrutinized by the "glorious ones". For several months now I have noticed that whenever I speak to certain ones in the KH, an Elder suddenly comes and stands close enough to listen to our conversation.

At first, I thought I was just being paranoid, but after it occurred 6 or 7 times, I was convinced! And when I mentioned this to an older sister recently, she replied that she had noticed it too! It happened again yesterday before the start of the meeting.

Do you really want to commit yourself to the religious equivalent of North Korea, as well as being responsible for trying/convincing others to to get sucked in?

Quit while you're free to do so, and you won't notice any difference in their attitudes to you.

Spiritual paradise? Dream on!!!!!!

Where Is All The Money Going from Sales of WTB&TS `s Real Estate Properties.

what governmental requirements are their for full disclosure of the proceeds from sales of property made by a not for profit organization such as the wtb&ts.. how does the wtb&ts explain their charitable status when they do not provide any charitable benefits to anyone , when all their members , jehovahs witnesses are not employed by them , they are just volunteers.. does american law allow religous institutions to hide monetary transactions or is their full transparency regarding their use of their money.. how can a multi million $ publishing company , engaged in a multi million $ real estate organisation be considered as a not for profit organisation .. is their anything like an auditor general in the usa that needs to investigate these things ?.

7 years ago i started on a path i had long ago given up on as impossible.

i met with my elders and told them i could not justify carrying on as a jw.

i went and got my high school qualifications and my higher education diploma (a levels with distinction) in just 12 months.

hello everyone it's nice to finally be able to post i had trouble getting emails last month and was never able to sign up.

this has been a very informative site which has really helped me grow and to think for myself.

please allow me to introduce myself.. i was born into a witness family and was baptized at a young age an was part of a small kingdom hall.

what was it about the jw religion that first gave you serious doubts as to its truthiness?.

for me it occurred in late 1984 when we were studying the brochure the divine name that will endure forever which had been released at the summer convention that year.

Romans 6:7 being taught as a literal death by the GB. If it is literal, then every persons own death wipes out their sins, making Christ's ransom sacrifice totally unnecessary and totally worthless!!

However, verses 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11 of the same chapter blasts the G.B's false teaching out of the water, by clearly explaining that it is a figurative dying - to one's former sinful life-course!

To hear Witnesses trying to defend the G.B's position on this is stomach churning - they don't realize the full import of what they are trying to justify!

After that, my mind was fully opened up to TTATT!
